Camper Experience

At the Cove, we want everyone to feel prepared for the best week of their lives. So we took the liberty of setting up your camper experience. Here are some questions that we hear the most from campers. If you are a grown-up, check out our Parent Zone for more answers to your questions.

What should I Pack for Camp?

Great question! Soon you'll be arriving at Canoe Cove Christian Camp all bright eyed and bushy tailed, ready for a week jammed packed with friends, food and awesome time learning about God. So as you prepare for this adventure and start to pack your gear here is a list of things to bring with you.

 

Suggested Summer Packing List​

  • A sleeping bag, pillow, and blanket

  • A toothbrush, tooth paste, hair brush, and other toiletries

  • A shower towel and a beach towel

  • A flashlight

  • ​A Bible

  • A notebook and pen

  • Sunscreen and insect repellant 

  • Clothes (Just remember all shorts must be at least fingertip length)

  • A jacket, hoodie, or sweater

  • PJs

  • Swimsuits (No speedos. And if you're wearing a two piece, please wear a swim shirt over top of it) 

  • Water shoes if desired 

  • Flipflops and outdoor shoes

  • Indoor shoes or slippers 

  • Any necessary medications (These need to be given to the camp medic during registration. The camp medic will be responsible for the administration throughout the week)

Please place names on inside of items as the Camp and Camp staff are not responsible for lost or misplaced items! The Camp and Camp staff are also not responsible for anything that gets broken, dirty, or damaged while at camp.

Things To Leave at Home 

  • Spending Money

  • Cell phones or electronics (for safety purposes, these will be locked away until the end of camp, so it is wiser to keep them at home)

  • Perfumes and scented sprays 

  • Drugs, alcohol, or any illegal substances

  • Weapons or laser pointers

  • Snacks and candies (You'll get plenty of food all week - we promise!)

  • A bad attitude 

Suggested Winter Packing List​

  • Winter jacket & snow pants or a snowsuit

  • Mittens/ gloves (Always helpful to have an extra pair in case one gets wet)

  • Hat

  • Boots

  • Warm socks (Extra pairs are great for staying dry and cozy)

  • Comfortable clothing (sweatshirts, sweatpants, long sleeved shirts, etc.)

  • Slippers or indoor footwear

Can I be in the same cabin as my friends?

At the Cove, we want you to have a great time with friends - new and old! So let us know on your registration form the name of one friend who you'd like to have in the same cabin and we will do every things we can to make that happen.
