Contract lengths and start dates / end dates are indicated. In some cases, contract weeks are not consecutive due to programming needs.
Positions Available:
1. Camp Administrator
- $20.50 / hour | 37.5 hours / week
- 12 week contract (Consecutive)
- Start Date: June 8th | End Date: August 28th
- Number of Positions: 1
Job Description:
The Camp Administrator is responsible for assisting with administrative functions key to keeping the camp running efficiently. Working in close cooperation with the chair of the program committee, they will perform duties including:
- Overseeing registration & pickup, emails & phone calls between the camp and parents.
- Overseeing the nurse station & distribution of medication as needed
- Assist deans with administrative needs during program (Such as preparing printed resources during program, preparing name tags for volunteer staff)
- Taking photos and videos of program for future promotional use (including ordering copies of a group photo of each camp for campers to take home)
- Ensuring that the camp's social media presence is kept active during the summer months
- Exemplify and model Christian behaviour
- Other duties as required
Requirements:
- Minimum 18 years old
- Must hold a valid driver's license
- Must provide a clean criminal record check
- Social Media Skills
- Must have Emergency First Aid & CPR/AED level C (Training Provided)
- Previous experience at Canoe Cove Christian Camp a strong asset
- Must be an immersed believer
- Preference will be given to applicants from within the independent Churches of Christ / Christian Churches of PEI.
2. Kitchen Coordinator
- $20.50 / hour | 37.5 hours / week
- 7 week contract (Non-Consecutive)
- Start Date: June 28th | End Date: August 22nd
- Number of Positions: 1
Job Description:
The Kitchen Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the efficient flow of the kitchen during summer programming. Working in close coordination with the chair of the kitchen committee, the Kitchen Coordinator will perform duties including:
- Working with the Camp Administrator to ensure allergies are communicated and accommodations made
- Provide basic overview, training, and supervision to volunteers to ensure that safe food practices and other regulations are being followed and met
- Prepare sanitizer bottles for kitchen use daily and restock cleaning supplies in the as needed
- Record fridge and freezer temperatures as required
- Work with kitchen committee to complete inventory of food items to ensure inventory is replenished as needed
- Wash and dry kitchen laundry (Aprons, cloths, etc) as needed
- Oversee meal preparation and clean-up during staff orientation week
- Ensure dishes from meal preparation are cleaned prior to the post-meal cleanup as possible
- If time allows, assist with food preparation and other duties as required
- Exemplify and model Christian behaviour
Requirements:
- Minimum 18 years old
- Valid Drivers License a strong asset
- Must hold a Food Handler License (Training available)
- CPR / First Aid a strong asset
- Must provide a clean criminal record check
- Previous experience at Canoe Cove Christian Camp a strong asset
- Must be an immersed believer

3. Program Coordinator
- $19.00 / hour | 37.5 hours / week
- 8 week contract (Consecutive)
- Start Date: June 28th | End Date August 22nd
- Number of Positions: 2
Job Description:
The Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing program staff in a mentoring and supervisory role. Working in close coordination with the chair of the program committee and the camp dean, the Program Coordinator will perform duties including:
- Complete the duties of a Senior Counsellor, AND:
- Function as a team leader / mentor to younger staff
- Coordinate and communicate staff breaks in cooperation with the chair of the program committee and camp dean
- Ensure bathroom laundry is kept clean
- Other duties as required
Requirements:
- Minimum 17 years old
- Must have Emergency First Aid & CPR/AED level C (Training Provided)
- Must provide a clean criminal record check (If 18 or older)
- Previous work experience as a Senior Counsellor at Canoe Cove a prerequisite
- Must be an immersed believer
- Preference will be given to applicants from within the independent Churches of Christ / Christian Churches of PEI.
4. Senior Counsellor
- $18.00 / hour | 37.5 hours / week
- 7 week contract (Non-Consecutive)
- Start Date: June 28th | End Date August 22nd
- Number of Positions: TBD
Job Description:
The Senior Counsellor is responsible for the hands on work of summer programming. Working in close coordination with the chair of the program committee and the camp dean, the Senior Counsellor will perform duties including:
- Supervise children during activities and program
- Stay overnight in cabins with campers
- Develop healthy mentoring relationships with campers during their stay
- Assist with preparation and cleaning of facilities during the summer
- Exemplify and model Christian behaviour
- Other duties as required
Requirements:
- Minimum 16 years old
- Must have Emergency First Aid & CPR/AED level C (Training Provided)
- Must provide a clean criminal record check (If 18 or older)
- Previous work experience as a Senior or Junior Counsellor at Canoe Cove a strong asset
- Preference will be given to applicants from within the independent Churches of Christ / Christian Churches of PEI.
5. Junior Counsellor
- $17.50 / hour | 37.5 hours / week
- 5 week + 3 day contract (Non-Consecutive)
- Start Date: June 28th | End Date August 18th
- Number of Positions: TBD
Job Description:
The Junior Counsellor is responsible for the hands on work of summer programming. Working in close coordination with the chair of the program committee and the camp dean, the Junior Counsellor will perform duties including:
